Lebanon's health ministry states that the death toll has reached 3,020 as a result of ongoing Israeli strikes, amidst a conflict with Hezbollah that has intensified since early March. A recent ceasefire, brokered by the United States, seems insufficient as violence continues, with more than 400 casualties recorded since the ceasefire took effect on April 17. The situation began to spiral when Hezbollah retaliated to an Israeli strike that killed Iran's supreme leader. Despite a 45-day truce extension announced recently, attacks by both Israel and Hezbollah persist, raising concerns about the stability of the region.
