Ukrainian Woman on Interpol Hunt After Monaco Bomb Attack

A woman from Ukraine has been named as the main suspect in a bomb attack near an apartment in Monaco that hurt a wealthy Ukrainian businessman and two others. The police say the suspect may have used a disguise and possibly worked with someone else.

Interpol’s Red Notice names her as a person wanted for trying to commit a serious crime by putting a bomb on a public road and for conspiracy. The suspect appears on a photo as a woman with a dark, shoulder‑length haircut.

The bomb was dropped just before 21:00 local time on Monday. It caused an explosion that hurt three residents – a couple and a 13‑year‑old child – who were entering the building.

Authorities suspect the suspect had spent days watching the target location. Police say the woman left the scene on foot, later used a hired car and escaped to Italy and then Germany, where German police in the Main‑Taunus district searched a rented apartment and seized her vehicle.

The billionaire target is Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, who owns property in Monaco and has been sanctioned by Kyiv for his business links in Crimea. Three people – the billionaire, his partner, and their son – were in the building when the bomb went off.

Prince Albert II of Monaco called the incident a “heinous crime”. Officials in Monaco and France are working together to locate the suspect, who is now on the run.
